How Hartman Garage Doors Got Its Start

Hartman Garage Doors opened its doors in Lancaster, PA in 2015 with a simple premise: do the work right, charge a fair price, and treat people with respect. Cristopher Crane founded the company after years of hands-on experience in the garage door industry — learning everything from spring systems and cable rigging to opener installation and panel replacement. He saw how the job was often done — corners cut, work subcontracted out, customers left with a door that needed attention again six months later — and decided to do it differently.

Starting small in Lancaster County, Hartman Garage Doors built its reputation one job at a time. Homeowners spread the word to their neighbors. Commercial property owners called back for their next project. The business grew because the work was good and the people behind it were straight with their customers.

Today, Hartman Garage Doors handles everything from broken spring repairs and opener replacements to full new garage door installations for residential and commercial properties — all with the same in-house crew and the same commitment to doing the job properly the first time. We also do gate installation and repair for customers looking to add security or curb appeal, but garage doors are what we do best.
